If you are planning to serve on your Association Board, you probably know that you will need to comply with Florida’s certification requirements within 90 days of being elected.
Our Board Member course is tailored specifically to certify hoa, condo and coop Board Members. Your participation will satisfy the statutory requirement so that you are eligible to serve on your Association Board. More importantly, it will provide the tools and information you need to perform your job well and to avoid any potential liability associated with your new role.
Some of the topics we will cover include:
• Defining your fiduciary duty
• Analyzing association operations
• How to properly maintain the association’s books and records
• The pros and cons of alternative dispute resolution
• Avoiding common election pitfalls
• Preparing budgets & funding reserves
• Understanding financial reporting requirements
• Assessing insurance needs for common areas

Locating the Parking Garage:
When heading East on Broward Boulevard make a left onto Andrews Avenue and then a quick right onto Northeast 1st Street. The parking garage will be on your left.
From US1 (Federal Highway):
When heading West on Broward Boulevard make a right onto Andrews Avenue and then a quick right onto Northeast 1st Street. The parking garage will be on your left.
Entering the Parking Garage:
You will see the first entrance on your left that leads into the Meter Parking Area. DO NOT USE THAT ENTRANCE. Instead, proceed to the next entrance on the left which is a ramp and has a sign titled: “Public Parking” above it. This ramp will take you to the “1st Level” of the non-meter parking area. You will then go up another ramp to the “2nd Level”; park here. The Walkway leading to the building is located on the west side of the 2nd Level.
Entering the Building:
Take the walkway into the building towards the Lobby Elevator and take the elevator to the 18th Floor to the reception area. The Receptionist will provide you with parking validation stickers when you leave.
