Both Community association boards and managers will learn about the what goes into setting up a community website (from the practical to the legislatively required). They will also learn about electronic media and how it can be used in community associations, for noticing meetings and online voting.
In this course, board members and managers will learn:
• Things to consider whether the website is voluntary or mandatory, including questions to ask web designers, what should or must be on a website versus what should not, maintenance and upkeep requirements for websites, dealing with official records requests in the modern website era and dealing with budget changes to accommodate website expenses.
• What documents can and cannot be accepted in electronic format (fax, email, copy) in regard to community association business.
• Procedures to employ to ensure that associations are in compliance with the law in regard to electronic meeting notices, receipt of electronic media from owners and electronic voting.
